Version 4 ofAmetys brings a host of new features and enhancements.
Here's an overview of what's new since version 3.8!

CMS

Displaying and modifying repeaters in a table

In a search engine Solr, it is now possible to display a repeater as a result column.

Improved gallery display and search

New features make it easier to search and display galleries: filter, icon view, list view, and choice of whether or not to display categories.

Performance enhancement

The responsiveness of the back office graphical interface has been improved by optimizing both client-server communications and the display of content modification forms. This will make your navigation and interaction with the tool much smoother.

Enhanced image insertion

Ametys offers the option of cropping an image during insertion.
Users can choose to keep only the part of the image that interests them.

Inheritance of rights assignment disabled

Disabling inheritance when assigning rights is now available.

Word export of search results

Any search engine can now export results in Word format (.doc).

Facets on joined columns

The Solr advanced search tool is enriched to allow facets to be built on joined columns

New design

Ametys 4.1 features a new design for the home page, error pages and ribbon, with colored decorators depending on the type of action.

Search and sort by relevance

By default, back-office search engine results are now sorted by relevance, so that the results that best match your search are displayed first.

Make a site unlistable with a single click

It's now possible to exclude the entire site from referencing in a single action.

Reporting content

From now on, a visitor can report that content proposed by another visitor is inappropriate.
A reporting dashboard is also available.

Integration

Enhanced page creation wizard

The page creation wizard has been enhanced to make the user's work easier: optional selection of a parent page, simplified label management, optional masking of content type and template selection pages.

Graphic charter heritage

To simplify graphic integration, Ametys now supports graphic charter inheritance: one charter can extend another to simply overload a few graphic elements (color themes, visuals, etc.).

Resource indexing

Most of the resources managed byAmetys are now indexed in the Search Engine service.

New search service

The new search service merges the content retrieval, page retrieval and page and/or document search services.
It offers more possibilities in terms of search parameterization and display: imposed or free search criteria, filters, facets, sorting, search results view, etc.
The rendering also supports dynamic loading of results and infinite pagination.

View settings

Parameters can now be configured for templates, zones, zone items, content view and service view.
These allow you, for example, to :
- choose a background color for content
- choose a banner image for a section.

Image cropping

For graphics integration, a new resolveCroppedImage method can be used to crop images according to the given height x width frame, starting from the center.

Revamped registration service

The registration service has been enhanced to integrate the text of the T&Cs and a validation text directly into the account creation form.

Content and page feed services

The search contexts for the content and page retrieval service are enriched to enable the selection of content or pages from a sub-section of the tree structure.

Administration

Data archiving

Ametys offers an import/export system,
useful for making partial backups or moving a site from one server to another, for example.

Centralized cache management

A new tool allows you to view and manage the various Ametys caches (with information such as size, total number of accesses, number of successes and failures, number of elements) and to empty these caches.

Bulk user import

In Ametys 4.1, importing users has been simplified. Administrators can now import users en masse from a CSV or TXT file.

Modifying parameter files

Application parameter files can now be modified directly from the administration interface and back-office, via a file explorer and integrated text editor.

Script help tool

A new help tool for the script console provides documentation on available variables and functions.

Ametys ODF

Improving the model tool

The mock-up tool has been enhanced with new components to facilitate display and rendering of the mock-up: filter, display of global validation status, display of indicators in pictogram form (lifecycle status, shared elements).

Enhanced properties tool

The Properties tool for ODF content now displays parent elements (with full path) and child elements separately, for example.)

Enhancing existing reports

The "MCC extraction", "Model" and "Student hourly volume" reports have been reworked to make them easier to read and use.

Skills-based approach

Ametys ODF 4.1 integrates a skills repository to build your training offer around a Competency-Based Approach (CBA)

Skills-based approach

A course's competencies are now displayed.
A summary table showing the distribution of competencies by year/semester/EU is now available.
It is also possible to search for a course based on a skill.

Tree structure with 0, 1 or 2 classification levels

The 2 classification levels are no longer mandatory for your training tree.
Choose 0, 1 or 2 fields to organize your training catalog.

Training search map

The ODF charter proposes to display the results of the training search on an OpenStreetMap map.

OSE application connector

An export to the OSE application has been developed in collaboration with several establishments using Ametys ODF and OSE.

Apogee WebServices

Ametys ODF now uses AMUE's Web Services to upload training offers from the repository to Apogee.

Export Lhéo

Ametys ODF is natively exportable in Lhéo format (harmonized language for describing training offers).

In response to a request from the French Ministry of Higher Education, Ametys is proposing to highlight state-approved training programs and courses, with the following label

Managing shared courses

To make it easier to build your course models, activate the mutualization of pedagogical elements (courses, UE, EC, etc.).
The course search will be limited to courses meeting the mutualization criteria.

Teaching hours

Ametys ODF 4.1 supports the mutualization of certain teaching activities (CM, TD, TP) without others being mutualized.
Teaching elements are broken down into teaching hours.

New demonstration charter

The demo charter has been completely redesigned, with the emphasis on the Training sheet and search.
Designed to be responsive, it adapts to all types of support (computer, tablet, mobile).

Training comparison tool

A new tool enables you to compare the content of the current version of a training course with the latest validated version.

Ametys ODF now allows users to store the courses and training they are interested in in a basket.

Steering reports Teacher potential

An excel report is now available to compare the hours required per teaching discipline with the school's teaching potential.
Teaching potential can be entered directly into the application by discipline.

Consistency reports

Ametys ODF allows you to produce consistency reports.
For example, you can check the sum of ECTS.

Modification dashboard

The training dashboard allows you to view modifications (significant or otherwise) to training courses since their last validated version.

Global validation

Global validation, accessible from any element of a training model, is now available regardless of the state of the selected node.

New from plugins

Adding a description to definition files

Version 1.3.0 of plugin Extraction lets you add a description to an extraction definition file.

Photo retrieval from AD

Good news: synchronization of directory users from a LDAP data source (Active Directory, Open LDAP) now automatically retrieves the profile photo of directory users.

Create a user file on registration

New users can now create their profile file in just a few clicks when creating their account, via a dedicated form. The associated fields are automatically updated according to the user's profile.

Link configuration for logged-in users

On the front-office side, logged-in users can more easily configure their links and business applications. New features include drag-and-drop link ordering, selection from an existing catalog, and masking of unwanted links or applications.

New fields

You can now go even further in customizing the display of your links or business applications, displaying color or status indicators (Normal / Out of order / New) and adding an additional link.

Links to services

Version 2.1.0 of plugin Link Directory provides an extension point for retrieving dynamic information from a third-party service and displaying it in link rendering.

Newsletter mailing test

It's important to test the rendering and reception of your newsletters before sending them out. That's why we've added a new test function: enter the email address of your choice and run several tests before sending!

New tools for content moderation

Version 2.3.0 of plugin UGC offers new tools for moderating and integrating content proposed by site visitors.

Dedicated tool for limiting access

Restricting access to links is now based on the new rights management system, in a dedicated tool.

Publication of classified ads

Visitors can now submit and publish classified ads. This new plugin, based on plugin UGC (content proposal), enables classified ads to be managed: life cycle (prior or subsequent validation), dedicated search, dedicated tree structure with classification by category.

HTML5 Player

For your video and audio galleries, the Flash player has been replaced by a responsive HTML5 player, supporting mp4, ogv, ogg and webm video formats and mp3, oga, ogg, wav audio formats.
The audio gallery is enhanced by a new playlist view.

Back from plugin UGC

Version 2.0.0 of plugin UGC provides the tools needed to manage content submitted by site visitors.

Pictograms

The new version of plugin lets you choose a pictogram from a font to illustrate a link.
