A recycle garbage can is available inAmetys for resources, resource explorer folders and pages.
Access to the Recycle Bin is associated with the "Manage Recycle Bin" right available in the "Other tools" category.
The Recycle Bin is available on the Home tab in the Recycle Bin group.
The tool looks like this:
The upper part of the tool features a search to refine the results of the contents of the recycle garbage can.
To carry out a search, you can choose one or more fields.
Example: You are looking for a deleted page with the title Publications
The left-hand side of the tool contains the area for filtering results according to various criteria.
The banner contains the following three functions:
This function empties the recycle garbage can and permanently deletes all items.
Click Empty Trash
A pop-up appears to confirm deletion.
This function restores items from the Recycle Bin and is described here.
This function allows you to delete an item from the recycle garbage can permanently.
After selecting the item, click on Delete
A pop-up appears to confirm definitive deletion.
When no item is selected, only the Empty trash is active
When an item is deleted (Page, Resource or Folder type), it is moved to the Recycle Bin.
The deleted item will then be visible in the recycle garbage can for users with access to the recycle garbage can, regardless of whether the user who deleted it has access to the recycle garbage can.
They will no longer be visible in their original locations.
To delete an item (page, resource...) and return it to the recycle garbage can :
Delete desired item
Example: You want to delete the New Arrivals page
Once the content has been deleted, one or more notification windows appear to confirm the deletion.
When the data in the recycle garbage can is out of date, a yellow banner appears to refresh the tool and display all deleted items.
The item is deleted and returned to the recycle garbage can
Restoring an element (page, resource, etc.) will restore it to its original location in the sitemap and in the same state (same tags, roots, etc.).
Specific case of :
The originalURL of the page will be retained if no page exists with this URL. Otherwise, a new URL will be generated.
The page will always be restored as the last element of its parent page. Make sure you place it where you want it.
The order of the restored page's sub-pages is preserved.
To restore a page :
Select the page to restore
Example: The Newcomers page
Click on Restore
A window appears
Click on Yes
The page returns to the last position on its parent page.
