News Ametys 4.5

This new version brings several new features and enhancements.
Here's an overview of what's new!

CMS

New Intranet core charter

A new Intranet core charter is now available, comprising :
- A banner (logo, search, links from the links directory, sections, alerts)
- A user menu (on the right)
- Various slides (news, resources, kiosk, job offers, classified ads)
- A footer

Quick search on text field

Charters can easily integrate a text field search to launch a classic search.
When the user enters a text in the search field, a quick search is performed on pages whose title contains this keyword.

Search service: New type of search element for users

Two types of search items are now available to users:
- Users (Page): corresponds to the former "Users"
- Users (Content): allows you to select the content view in the View tab. The result displayed corresponds to the selected content view.

Reference tables: mandatory field indicator

In reference tables, if a mandatory field is not filled in, it is visually highlighted for quick identification.

Using the browser's Back button for searches

It is now possible to use the browser's Back button from a search results page.
Search engine configuration (facets, pagination, sorting, etc.) is now preserved.

Administration

Duplicate detection

Ametys allows you to check, via configuration, whether two items of content are identical (duplicates) or almost identical (near-duplicates).
This detection can be carried out:
. individually, via workflow enrichment.
. globally, via a programmed task.

New task scheduled to check for broken links

A new programmed task "Start broken links check" allows you to check for broken links on a given site or on all sites.

Virtual machine thread visualization tool Java

A tool for visualizing threads in the Java virtual machine has been added.
This tool lists all Ametys threads and features various filters (status, call stack size, etc.).
Traces corresponding to Ametys code are highlighted for quick location.

Projects

Reading time display on news items

Reading time is now specified for catalog and project news.

Enhancements to the Files module

The Files module is enriched:
- When uploading a ZIP file, a dialog box offers to decompress the archive.
- When uploading an existing file, a dialog box suggests:
. Add and rename the file
. or to replace the existing file

Chat integration

A chat function has been integrated, enabling project members to discuss either :
- on a general project chat
- on a chat between n people.

Files module - Thumbnails

Since version 4.5, the Files module ofAmetys-Workspaces has been able to display thumbnails of Excel, Word and Powerpoint files.

Files module - Preview

The Files module is enriched with the ability to preview Word, Excel and Powerpoint files, as well as images and videos.

Mini-site module

The new "Mini-site" module lets you create and modify editorial sections from within the project site.

News on project news

Several new features have been added to project news:
- Page with all project news
- Labels
- Notifications

New rights for project creation

Three new rights are available for project creation:
- Create a private project
- Create a public project
- Create a public project with registration

New version of the Calendar module

The Calendar module has been redesigned to include the following features:
- Calendar management
- Resource management
- Display of upcoming events
- Filters

New version of the Tasks module

The "Tasks" module has been redesigned to offer the following functionalities:
- Management of sections
- Management of tasks by section (Images, Attachments, CheckList, Labels, Comments)
- Filters (Completed/opened tasks, My tasks)

Revamped notification system

Enhanced notification system:
- New service to manage notification preferences via email
- Daily, weekly or monthly activity summary mails added.
- New template for notification mails

Training courses

Cost simulator display improvements

The display of the cost simulator has been improved to make it easier to use and read.
Editable fields are now easier to identify.

Improvements and corrections to the cost simulator

Several improvements and corrections have been made to the cost simulator,
, to enhance its usability:
- Correction of calculation errors
- Improved log messages ...

Charter ODF : training scheme with BUT

The training scheme now includes the GOALS.

Confirmation when deleting training elements

When you delete a training element, a window appears, displaying:
- a confirmation of deletion with the name of the element
- the list of referenced content

Pegase connector

Version Ametys-ODF 4.5.0 allows you to import training courses from Pégase.

University degrees and clusters

Version 4.5.0 ofAmetys-ODF supports the management of diploma types (University or National).
To make it easier to search for university diplomas, a new criterion has been added to the search service: Diploma (grouped DUs).

Evolution of the model cost ratio

The Cost of models report is enriched with several columns, such as the stage's Ametys code, the number of employees for the year, information on the supporting stage (Code, Apogee Code, etc.), prorated and carried EqTD.

Import Apogée : Import context dependent on current selection

From this version onwards, Apogée import is based on the current selection

Mention et Parcours BUT

Two new reference tables are available for the BUT:
- Mention BUT used in the "Mention" field of the course.
- BUT course used in the "BUT course" field of the course.

Pedagogical methods for individual follow-up

Ametys ODF now offers the possibility of taking individual follow-up into account when calculating eqTDs.
To do this, the information defining the type of calculation is defined in the "Type of teaching" reference table.

Route search engine

Ametys ODF allows you to search for a course using different search criteria (Label, Catalog, Component, Language, State, etc.).

New coherence report on milestones

A carrier step consistency report has been added.
It checks whether the ELPs refer to a single carrier step, and whether this is consistent with its ascending tree structure.

Ability to tag content ODF

Content can now be tagged ODF.

Suggested routes

A "Proposed" status has been added to the course lifecycle.

Deleting a catalog and its items

It is now possible to delete a catalog with its elements (courses, itineraries, containers, lists ofELP and ELPs).
A window summarizing the elements making up the catalog is displayed, asking the user to confirm the deletion.

Mass training cuts

Ametys ODF now enables mass deletion of courses.
This feature can be accessed from the course search results table.

Sorting the root of the training offer

The root of the training offer is sorted :
- according to the "order" field of the reference table used for the level (in ascending order)
- in alphabetical order

Sorting and displaying the criteria listed in the search service

Two new display parameters enhance the ODF search service:
. Reading direction of listed criteria (Left to right or Top to bottom)
. Sorting of listed criteria (Alphabetical order or according to the "Order" field entered in the reference table)

Sort by degree type (University/National) and/or degree type (order)

Two new fields have been added to the search service:
- Type of diploma (University or National)
- Type of diploma (Order field)

New from plugins

Cart - Add directory queries to basket

It is now possible to add queries from the query directory to the basket.

Cart - Rights overhaul

Basket rights management has been redesigned to use the existing rights system.
It is now possible to manage basket rights:
- either from the "Basket" tab
- or from the "Profile assignment" tab.

Exchange - Double authentication

Version 4.5 enables simultaneous connection to both types of Exchange server.

Extraction - Evolutions

Several changes have been made to plugin Extraction:
- Multi-selection management in the results tool (for downloading and mass deletion)
- Added the option of not indenting results
- Removal of the results deletion button from the tree root
- Display of the results file creation date in the tree listing results

Extraction - Rights management

Extraction rights management has been redesigned to use the existing rights system.
It is now possible to manage query directory rights :
- either from the "Extraction" tab
- or from the "Profile assignment" tab.

Flipbook - "Document" type added PDF

The new "Document PDF" type is brought to you by plugin Flipbook.
The default rendering of this document PDF displays a preview of the first page, and allows the reader PDF to be opened.

Form - Cost calculation on drop-down lists

Forms now offer the option of managing costs. To do this :
- It is possible to define that a drop-down list participates in the cost, and to associate a cost to each option in the list.
- A new "cost" field displays the total cost of the selected options.
