The functions described on this page are part of Plugin Cartes (installed by default in the Ametys demo application).
This extension lets you insert a personalized Google map or plan by marking points of interest (POIs).
Select a site page and an area of your choice. Go to the "Add a service" menu and click on "Maps" to insert a new map.
Start by entering an address to center the map on in the search field. Then click on the search button and the Enter key to focus the map on the address entered.
Use zoom and arrows to navigate the map.
Click on the "Set point of interest" (POI) button to add a point of interest to the map. A cross appears, click on the map at the exact point where you wish to add your POI.
Once the location has been defined, a dialog box opens, allowing you to enter a title, description, color and custom icon (to be selected from a list of available icons).
Click on Ok to display the point of interest on the map
Once created, the point of interest is displayed in the left-hand column of the main dialog box. Each point can be modified or deleted.
Click on the "Shape" button to draw the desired shape on the map. Each click joins one point to another, and a double-click finalizes the shape.
Once the shape is complete, a dialog box opens, allowing you to enter a title, description and color for the layout.
Once created, the shape is displayed in the left-hand column of the main dialog along with the other points of interest. Each shape can be modified or deleted.
