Presentation

The Content Commenting and Reporting tool lets you view and manage user comments on selected content.

Comments can be moderated a priori or a posteriori, at the discretion of the CMS administration. A posteriori moderation will automatically approve all new comments.

Use

You can open the comments and alerts management tool to :

  • A piece of content: simply select it and click on the View comments and alerts button.
  • One page you need select the page of your choice (it must reference at least one piece of content through these zones), then select the contextual tab Contents. Then click on the See comments and alerts. This will display comments for all content referenced by the page. (example shown below).


A table is displayed in the "Comments and alerts" tab. 

This contains, for each page content (in the example above), the list of comments. 

The columns are filled in as follows: 

 Column name

Title for an article (parent node)

Content for a comment (child node)

Article or comment creation date

 Status

 Filled only for a comment: 

for rejected comment

for approved comment

Reports

Number of reports made on the article or commentary

Author

Author of article or comment

Five buttons allow you to manage comments and alerts using the following actions:

  • Modify comment
  • Approve comment
  • Reject comment
  • Delete comment
  • Ignore report: available if at least one report has been made on the selected content or comment. Clicking on this button resets the alert counter to zero. 

User interface

Here is a preview of the user form with the demo chart Ametys. In particular, it allows the user's email address to be masked if requested, and requires a Captcha code to be entered before sending.
