General presentation

The Rights Details tool allows you to :

  • View and inspect user rights as a whole

  • Identify the origin and context of a right

Rights can come from two sources:

  • Rights by assignment (inheritance, manual assignment by administrator, etc.)

  • Entitlement by automatic application mechanism (action X gives rise to entitlement Y)

Tool description

  1. The context of the right: The context may vary the existence or non-existence of a right.

  2. Right drop-down list: this list shows all rights. It is from this list that the details of a right can be displayed (below). It is only possible to select one right at a time.

  3. Profile drop-down list: Select a profile to restrict the list of rights to those included in the profile. These rights will be visible in the rights drop-down list (2).

  4. User: Select a user to view its permissions. Leaving the field empty allows you to view the permissions of a user who is not logged in.

  5. Result: indicates the final result. A user can be authorized or unauthorized. The small square on the right shows undetermined results, which are hidden by default.

  6. Details: shows the details of rights according to the current selection. These details enable you to find out why and how the right was given (where it came from, how it was given, etc.).
