Administration manual

From version 2.15.0

Application setup

In the application configuration parameters, you need to set the day and time of notifications.

These parameters define the day and time at which subscribers will be notified of news (by email or on the intranet).

  • For a daily frequency, the configured time determines the time of day when e-mails and notifications are sent to the intranet (notification center). The day is not taken into account.
  • For a weekly frequency, the day and time set determine the day of the week and the time for sending e-mails and notification on the intranet (notification center). For example, every Monday at 10:00 a.m.
  • For a monthly frequency, the day represents the 1st day of the month. For example, every 1st Monday of the month at 10:00 a.m.
  • For an instantaneous frequency, these parameters are not used.

Note that these parameters are used for subscriptions chosen by the user.
For group subscriptions forced by a site administrator, the administrator can choose the time and/or day of notification, independently of these parameters.

Site settings

On the site, you can activate/deactivate the notification center and/or page tracking.

By default, the notification center and page tracking are disabled.

Activation takes place in the site parameters.

The settings also allow you to choose the refresh time (in minutes) for the notification center and for notifications of tracked pages (the default is 60 minutes, or 1 hour).

On an intranet where subscriptions are not used, disabling the notification center avoids unnecessary demands on the server to retrieve news.
