Setting up training displays and search engines

The demo version contains a few pre-configured pages, allowing you to navigate the site and display the training courses.

Setting up course presentation displays

Several services allow you to display training courses in different ways. These services must be configured in the back-office to achieve the desired effect (log in with the publication login and publication password).

On the page that is to display the courses, select the main zone by clicking on the zone icon :

If the service already exists, select it by clicking on the icon inside the box, then click on the Set service button:

If you wish to add the service, click on the Add a service button (Page tab) and choose the desired service (the services are described below):

Search for a course

The Search for a course service displays an advanced search engine for courses:

It mainly requires the following parameters:

  • title
  • search fields: select the criteria to be entered by site visitors
  • faceted search: tick the box if you want a faceted search; this way, the criteria in the form of a pick-list will display the number of results and be refined as the criteria are selected.

Other fields allow you to fine-tune the service: display of results, number of results per page, etc.

Search engine

The Search Engine service allows you to display a search engine that limits the search to certain types of content, such as UEs (so the search will only be carried out among UEs):

It mainly requires the following parameters:

  • title
  • search by content type: select the content type(s) to be searched from
  • choice of content type: determines whether the visitor can select the type of content to be searched.

Other fields allow you to configure the service in more detail: display of results, number of results per page, multi-site search, etc...

List of training courses

The List of courses service displays a tree of courses, grouped by field type:

It mainly requires the following parameters:

  • title
  • first level: select the field to group courses on a 1st level
  • second level: select the field to group courses on a 2nd level

Other fields can be used to fine-tune the service: results sorting, components, etc.

Training diagram

The Training diagram service displays a diagram of the various diplomas; clicking on a zone corresponding to a diploma takes you to the list of training courses for that diploma, via the search engine:

It requires the following parameters:

  • title
  • search page: select the page containing the training search engine
  • display: decide whether you want to include healthcare diplomas
