Publish your training offer with Ametys ODF

Ametys ODF allows you to publish a training offer from:

  • A set of files CDM-fr generated by the ROF software published by AMUE
  • A set of CDM-fr files generated by another device compatible with the latest CDM-fr standard.
  • The Apogée database, published by AMUE
  • A training database on the company's information system
  • A set of training courses completed or entered from scratch in the input module of Ametys ODF .

Possible interconnection mechanisms with these data sources are:

  • The provision of exchange files on a shared disk space with Ametys ODF
  • Direct querying of the application database
  • Web Services configuration (push or pull)

ROF

Import is carried out from XML files in CDM-fr format exported by ROF, located in a directory whose path can be configured in the application.

All training offer entities (Courses, Paths, ELPs, Components, People, ...) defined in the files are imported if they do not yet exist in Ametys ODF .

Synchronization is available for a single course or globally.

Global import

In this mode, the entire contents of the ROF export directory are taken into account, making it the sole referent.

This is the default mode, and that of the demo application.

To import all training courses at the same time, i.e. to integrate information from CDM-fr files into the application, click on the Import / Global synchronization button in the Training Offer tab:

Then click on the Start global synchronization button in the Synchronization tab:

The application then creates the new elements, or modifies them if necessary.

When formations are removed from ROF, they are not removed fromAmetys ODF , which must be done manually.

Depending on your configuration, imported courses are either validated directly and automatically published (this is the default setting), or require validation before publication.

Unit imports

Here, you manually select the courses to be imported from among those exported by ROF. To configure the application in "unitary" mode, please consult the Integrator Manual page.

One or more courses can then be imported by clicking on the Import courses button in the Training offer tab:

You can fill in certain search criteria before clicking on the Search button: the list of CDM-fr files existing in the directory defined in the configuration and corresponding to the criteria is displayed.

Select one or more courses, then click on the "Import" button to start the process.

....TODO + screenshots!

Depending on your configuration, imported courses are either validated directly and automatically published (this is the default setting), or require validation before publication.

Apogée

Import and synchronization are carried out from the institution's Apogée database, individually for each entity (courses, programs, ELPs, components, people, etc.).

To configure the application in "Apogée" mode, please refer to the Integrator manual page.

Unlike ROF, the data in Apogee's Oracle database alone is not sufficient to publish a complete course.
You will need to use the additional input module to complete the course elements (structure and content), before validating it for publication.

Import

To import one or more courses, click on the Import courses button in the Training offer tab:

You can then enter search criteria to find the course(s) you wish to import. Then click on the Search button.

The list of corresponding training courses in the Apogée database is displayed:

The blue arrow indicates that you can import the course; the grey arrow indicates the opposite, as the course has already been imported.

Select the course(s), then click on Import :

At the end of the import, a message shows you the number of courses imported.

TODO: is the training organization imported?

You can do the same with imports:

  • ELPs, components and contacts: from the Training offer tab
  • containers, ELP lists: from the Training tab

Synchronization

Synchronization is used to update training offer entities if they have been modified in the Apogée database. It is available for each entity individually, or globally.

Global synchronization is performed in the same way as global import with a CDM-fr connector, see above.

To synchronize one or more selected items, perform a search (see Search engines in the back office), select the items and then click on the Synchronize button:

You must then enter one or more codes (depending on the item you wish to synchronize: DIP and VDI codes for a training course, ELP code for an ELP, etc.), then validate. The item is then compared with the data in the Apogée database: if any modifications have been made, they are taken into account in the Ametys ODF application.

It is possible to desynchronize a field on an element, so that modifications to it on Ametys ODF are not overwritten when synchronized with Apogee: go to the content being edited (modify content button) and click on the following icon :
. The icon then changes to .

Webservices

The training offer is synchronized with another remote application ODF . Training courses are published on the portal via Web Services.

This is the mode used, for example, to set up a regional or inter-institutional portal based on local training offers.

So there's no need to import or synchronize a single course: only the courses contained in the web service are integrated.

To configure the application in "Web services" mode, please refer to the Integrator manual page.
