Moving or deleting content

This page explains how to move Content or a Service.

  1. Moving content or services
    1. Move an element within page zones
    2. Moving content to another page.
  2. Delete content from a page
  3. Delete a service

Ametys makes a difference between Content and Page.
Content is, for example, an Article, a News item... There can be several contents/services per page and/or per zone.
A page is generally a container, containing contents/services. A page has an Internet address.

Certain zones may be limited in the types of content or services they can accommodate. The creation of unauthorized content or services in such zones will not be possible. The same applies to the various movements described below.

Moving content or services

Move an element within page zones

A contributor wants to move content or a service between two zones on the same page.

The simplest solution is to use the "drag & drop" technique.
Click on the content or service, and while holding the click, drag the content into the desired area, or before/after another content in the same area.

Example of displacement before first content:

Moving content to another page.

A contributor wishes to move content from one page to another.
To do this, proceed in two steps:

  1. Add content to target page
  2. Then delete the content of the source page

Add content to target page

First, locate the target page.
To insert content, select the desired area, then in the Page tab, click on Add content and then on Existing content:

A pop-up window appears, displaying a search engine for content managed by the CMS Ametys. In this example, we're looking for content entitled "Pour aller plus vite!

The next step provides us with the results of the content search.
Here only the content we were looking for is displayed.

Select the content you want to insert and click OK.

The last step is to select the view in which the content will be displayed.
Different views are available, depending on your graphic style.

After validation, the content is inserted in the selected zone.
