Search for an educational element


Presentation

This service allows you to search for a pedagogical element in the front-office based on several criteria.

Add the service Search for a teaching aid

Select a page on the site and a zone of your choice.
Click on Add a service ( Page tab) and choose the Find an educational element service.

Mandatory

Title 

Define your own title to be displayed above the search form.
Leave blank to use the default.

Catalog

Choose the training catalog.

Metadata search

Select the metadata on which the visitor can search. Each selected metadata will be displayed as a search criterion.

Advanced search

Check this box to display the advanced search (all words, exact phrase, none of the words).

Faceted search

If facets are enabled, the pick-list criteria will display the number of results in brackets, and will be refined as the criteria are selected.

Results display

Select the results display mode from 3 options:

  • Below search criteria: Display results below search criteria.
  • Instead of search criteria: Launch search hides the form and displays results only.
  • On the page selected below: Displays only the search form. The page displaying the results must be selected in the "results page" field (see below).

Select a page containing the 'search for an educational element' service, with results displayed.
This parameter must be filled in if the "On the page selected below" option was chosen for the previous parameter.

Check this box to display degrees that include the ELPs you're looking for.

Number of results to display per page.

Service identifier

Optionally, this field can be used to give the same identifier to two instances of this service, in different zones, to enable them to communicate.
For example, this can be used to display results in a different zone of the search form.
