Back office search engine


The Ametys ODF application allows you to carry out various searches in the back office:

  1. Search for a course 
  2. Export results and save queries
  3. Find a route
  4. Find a container
  5. Search forELP
  6. Search for establishments and components
  7. Contact search

For all the searches described below, from version 4.8 onwards,
can be launched directly by pressing the "Enter" key on your keyboard.

If you do not enter any criteria, the complete list of training courses will be displayed.

Search for a course 

In theODF management tools, under the Training Offer tab, you'll find the Training Search tool.

 

The search offers multiple criteria:

  • Label: enter a term appearing in a course label
  • Component: select one or more components
  • Diploma: select a diploma 
  • Location(s): select one or more training locations
  • Modification date: enter the period during which the courses were modified
  • Status: select training status (draft, proposed, validated)
  • Catalog: select a training catalog
  • Code: enter the course code
  • Ministerial area(s): enter one or more ministerial areas
  • Language: select a course translation
  • Last contributor: select the last contributor who made modifications to a course

Click on the Search button to display a list of courses matching your search criteria:

Ergonomic principles :
- Search criteria are hidden when a search is launched
- Click on Search criteria to make them appear



You can customize the display of search results by selecting the columns of your choice.

Click on the to the right of the column of your choice

Select the Columns

Check or uncheck the columns you wish to display



Each column can be sorted in ascending or descending order. Select Sorting in ascending order or Sorting in descending order in the menu displayed after clicking on the of the selected column.

In the search tab there is a button for Return to default sorting 

If you double-click on a course, an additional tab opens on the right-hand side, displaying the course.   

Export results and save queries

Results can be exported from the search for a training course, itinerary, container and ELP.

In the Search tab, there are export tools that allow you to retrieve your search results in :

  • CSV
  • XML
  • Word
  • and make an impression

Save queries :

In the Search tab, you have the tools to save your search in a query.
Saving allows you to store predefined queries and share them.

The buttons Register and Save as saves the current query in the query directory.

The Save Layout and Save Layout As buttons let you save sorting, active columns and facets so you can reapply them to another query.

In the Home tab, you can replay queries and formatting.

Find a route

The Route Finder feature is available fromAmetys ODF v4.5 onwards.

In theODF management tools, under the Training Offer tab, you'll find the Search for courses tool.

The criteria offered by a path search are the same as those for a training search, with the exception of the Diploma (not present in a path search). 

Click on "Search" to display a list of training courses matching your criteria: 

 

Find a container

The Container Search feature is available fromAmetys ODF v4.8 onwards.

Search for one or more containers from the Training Offer tab, Search for containers button.

A new tab opens automatically on the right-hand side of the application, allowing you to enter various search criteria, the main ones being :

  • Label: enter one or more terms appearing in the label of a container
  • Catalog: select the training catalog where the container is present
  • Component: select one or more related components
  • Code: enter the code of a container
  • Type: select the type of container (e.g. year or semester)
  • Modification date: enter the period during which the containers searched for were modified.
  • Last contributor: select the last contributor who made changes to a container
  • Language: select the translation of a container
  • Status: select the lifecycle status of the containers you are looking for

Click on the Search button to display a list of containers matching your search criteria:

If you double-click on a container, an additional tab opens on the right to display the container.

To modify a container attribute from the search tool, simply double-click on the value you wish to modify. 

(Some fields cannot be modified, as is the case when modifying a traditional container).

  • For a simple attribute such as Label or ECTS, an edit box opens, allowing you to enter a new value. Once the new value has been entered, clicking on the "Enter" key validates the value, while clicking on the "Esc" key returns to the initial value. 

Search forELP

Search for one or more ELP in the Training offer tab, button Search for ELP.

A new tab opens automatically on the right-hand side of the application, allowing you to enter various search criteria, the main ones being :

  • Wording: enter one or more terms appearing in the wording of the ELP searches.
  • Component: select one or more related components
  • Teaching form: select a teaching form example: practical work
  • Date modified: enter the period during which the ELP searches were modified.
  • Last contributor: select the last contributor who made changes to a ELP
  • Code: enter the code for a ELP
  • Catalog: select the training catalog where ELP is present
  • Teaching organization: select one or more teaching organizations example: continuing education and distance learning
  • Language: select the translation of a ELP
  • Status: select the status of the ELP you are looking for

Click on the Search button to obtain a list of ELP matching your search criteria:

 If you double-click on a ELP, an additional tab opens on the right to displayELP .   

From version 4.4 onwards, it is possible to modify the attributes of a ELP directly from theELP search. This feature is described below. 

To modify anELP attribute from theELP search, simply double-click on the value you wish to modify. 

(Some fields cannot be modified, as is the case when editing a ELP file). 

  • For a simple attribute such as Label or ECTS, an edit box opens, allowing you to enter a new value. Once the new value has been entered, clicking on the "Enter" key validates the value, while clicking on the "Esc" key returns to the initial value. 

  • For a more complex attribute such as Teaching Hours, the editing zone is made up as follows: 

It is then possible to : 

  • Delete a teaching hour by clicking on the icon 
  • Search for an existing teaching hour to add it to this ELP by clicking on the icon  A pop-up window opens, allowing you to search for the existing teaching time you wish to add. 
  • Create a new teaching hour by clicking on the icon  The new ELP window opens. 
  • Modify the teaching hours for this ELP by clicking on the icon a window opens containing the values of the teaching hours for this ELP, in which you can directly modify the values: 

When a value has been modified, it appears with a red icon in the upper left-hand corner: 

Once the values have been modified, you can save or cancel the changes directly on the banner that appears above the column names: 

Once the values have been saved, the banner below is displayed to refresh the results. 

Search for establishments and components

To search for one or more components (or establishments), go to the Training offer tab and click on the Establishments and components button.

A new tab opens automatically in the central area of the application, allowing you to enter various search criteria, the main ones being :

  • Wording: enter one or more terms appearing in the component names.
  • Status: select the status of the components 
  • Language: select the translation of a component
  • UAI code: enter the UAI code of the component or the ident
  • Modification date: enter the period during which the components searched for were modified (only one date can be entered).
  • Last contributor: select the last contributor who made changes to a ELP

Click on the Search button to obtain a list of establishments and components matching your search criteria.

 If you double-click on a component, an additional tab opens on the right-hand side, displayingELP. 

Contact search

To search for one or more contacts, go to the Training offer tab and click on the Search contacts button.

A new tab opens automatically on the right-hand side of the application, allowing you to enter various search criteria, the main ones being :

  • Name: enter the name of one of your contacts
  • First name: enter the first name of one of your contacts
  • Language: select the translation for one of the contacts ?????
  • Status: select the status of contacts (draft, proposed, validated)
  • Modification date: enter the period during which the contacts searched for were modified (you can enter only one date).
  • Last contributor: select the last contributor who made changes to one or more contacts.

Click on the Search button to display a list of contacts matching your search criteria.
