From version 2.11.x onwards, catalog site initialization is automatic.
Only a few manual operations are required.
To create a catalog site, start by creating a "Project space catalog" type site.
For the catalog site to function correctly, please enter the following parameters:
When the Catalog site is created, it is automatically set up as a private site, i.e. not accessible to anonymous users.
Once the configuration has been validated, a series of automatic operations will initialize the site with the pages, services and content required for the project areas to function properly.
Assign yourself as manager of the new catalog site, then go to the catalog site back office to finalize its creation.
When the catalog site was created, 3 pages and 3 contents were created:
Customize and validate this content.
These contents are optional and are not necessary for the proper functioning of the project areas.
To enable account creation from the catalog site, the "Registration" page is required and created by default.
The "Registration" service is configured by default with the 1st population of "modifiable" users (type SQL) assigned to the catalog site.
If you have several "editable" user populations for your site, remember to configure and check/change the user population/directory that will host new accounts.
If you do not wish to allow public registration, this page can be removed.
To check that the catalog site has been initialized correctly, you can browse the manual for initializing a catalog site manually.
